A question on removing items to be consumed- I assume seeds (for those of us who garden) need to be removed. Does soil that seeds will grow in? Thank you.
Hey Hannah. Great question! Though it is a good idea to double bag the seeds, soil can be left as is.
Thanks for the YouTube recording of the webinar. I just submitted our form, apologies for the delay. A few questions:
1. Our lobby has locked mailboxes for each unit and only the postal carrier has keys to access it. Will that be an issue?
2. How often do buildings arrange for third party security? Do you think it’s necessary? Can you provide an example of what other buildings have done?
3. You mentioned our units will be locked between inspections. How is the gas circulated through our units? I assumed someone was entering and spraying each unit throughout the process.
4. For cars that remain in the garage, can you clarify what needs to happen? Windows rolled down and keys left in the front seat? How have other residents secured their cars during the fumigation?
Thank you for your help.
Hey Shirin. 1. The mailboxes will not be an issue. Those can stay as is. 2. Most communities opt for having a professional security company on-site. I feel it is a necessary step in any community to everything possible to ensure the security of a building while residents are away. The most proactive thing for an HOA to do is to have licensed and reputable guards on site the entire time residents are away. 3. The gas will be circulated throughout the entire building using a network of fans and hoses that we will be placing at random points of the buildings interior. No one is inside the building when the gas is being disbursed. 4. Cars that remain in the garage by law have to be left unlocked. Please do not leave car keys with us as we cannot accept them. Residents who prefer to not leave vehicles unlocked are recommended to move the car to the street. I hope this helps!
